1963 B headlight question

The low beam is out on one of the headlights. Q-would this just need a bulb replacement or a new light all together?

Also, what is the best way to remove the headlamp? I saw someone had posted that the cover just "pops" off with a paint can lid opener, but mine didn't seem to want to come off that easily?

Thanks

If you have original headlamps then this is a sealed beam - you have to replace the whole thing. If it's a bulb you can replace the bulb but the process is the same. If you use search there's a number of posts about removing the chrome external trim ring, then you have to unscrew 3 small screws on an internal trim ring and twist the light unit off the light adjusters noting that you'll get resistance from not only the wiring in there but also the bowl should be attached to a spring that is also attached to the bucket which is a bit of a pita to unclip.

If you have some No Mar tools or you are very careful, the chrome rim pops out from the bottom. Remove the screws and un-clip the spring and the sealed beam comes out.
