Also post on the Trader section (over on the left column there) as a "WTB". If you have a picture or what you want to buy, that may help. Is this the yellow plastic one or a metal one?

Your 77 should have electric fans.....originally twin fans in front of the radiator, but they could have been replaced by a single, larger aftermarket fan attached to the radiator. A fan attached to the water pump won't be very effective....it's too far from the radiator. A puller fan has to be as close to the radiator as possible to be efficient.

My '77 never had two fans. I'm 34/35 positive that it is original with one fan. It's a Canadian MKIV.

I believe the US cars had twin fans, but the Canadian cars only one.

In reply to # 2033999 by JoeReed I believe the US cars had twin fans, but the Canadian cars only one.

I guess that makes sense...given how cold it is "up here"!

Had a nice, 4 degree C, highway run this AM. That rear windscreen is a wonderful addition.

That fan will do no justice without a fan shroud, plus it will be too far from the radiator. My suggestion get one electric fan close to the same size as the radiator cores.

Anthony,

I believe all the yellow plastic fans had 7 blades. FYI, Jim Hodgkiss had one listed in Buy/Sell/Trade. Don't know if it's still available...
