Mead Gardens Surprise #1

Went to this Brit car show near Orlando, mostly as an excuse to take PLT on a 600 mile "ultimate road test" and meet fellow clubbers ... and unexpectedly took a 2nd in class with a tree pollen and road grime-laden GT LOL!!

Got to see fellow members Ken DeLeew and Jay Gerling - Ken took 2nd in MGB Modified thumbs up

Return to Jensen Beach was thru the worst storms I've put this car thru yet - nerve wracking.

Road test results - PLT got A+ across the board - not a hiccup or fart or clunk or whiff of Lucas smoke hehe. GPS data - Max speed 91 MPH, hiway cruise avg. 69 MPH. 306 mi.; 10 gal fuel = 30.6 overall MPG cool smiley

Last 120 mile leg home after midnite tonite, when I have the freeway to meself.

77 MGB - Four tone paint - some kind of electronic ignition - hood props - cheap tires - new springs all around - mixture of poly and rubber bushings - original exhaust - fuzzy seatcovers - stereo out of old F150 pickup - virtually no rust - right front wrecked and semi well repaired - just about right for me!

78 MGB - Done right by a good PO, and I only bought it. Tell Jim how nice it is. But I did put in a Datsun 5 speed.

79/65 MGB - Tubby - Carmine Red - V-6 - T-5
Going to do this one more right, less rat rod!

The GT next to Marco got 3rd place. It is a 1967 dove grey with a/c and red leather interior. A one owner car I believe. 1st place was a 1970 Red GT. Marco enjoy your award. Now you have an award winning car, and nobody can take that from you.
