I have a set of rims from a 1996 Saturn SL1 with new tires on them, do I want the rims? If they are a direct fit I can use them while I redo the ROStyles.

Anyone know?

Do you know the bolt circle, backspace, and offset for these wheels or are you just looking for a wild guess here?

My guess: won't fit

You say you have the wheels, why not try one on for size?

If they fit on the rear axle then all is good. That's the critical fitment.

MGBs are 4x114.3mm bolt pattern, or 4x4.5", I have no idea hwat a Saturn is, but chances are the positive offset is too great, even if the bolt pattern is correct.

Hey Michael I learned the MG bolt pattern is Ford - 4 x 4 1/2" ... I'm kinda feeling a FWD GM rim is not gonna work. I remember a Chevy Cavalier 14" rim wouldnt fit on a Ford pattern Alfa awhile back, but Alfa rims fit MGBs.

Edit:
http://www.mgexperience.net/article/wheel-xref.html

link to article is above. i didn't see saturn on the list, but that doesn't necessarily mean it won't...

good luck

Ahh, I get it. Couldn't figure out how someone could be so lazy so I was being a bit of a wise ass. A google search turned up the fact that the Saturn S1 wheels from '96 were 4x100 (that's 100mm) bolt circle so it's a not even close. Also, a front wheel car would likely have a wheel with big backspace and little or no offset so it was also a logical guess as a no-go.

Hi Tony X2 - real mags, 14x6, made by Campagnolo from their proprietary alloy called "Elektron", out of prod. at least 20 yrs now, imagine what a good unbent set must be worth? (very soft alloy)

Are the Turbinas in the pic Campagnolo and Cromadora? Regardless, both are "cast" so if they are hit they are not likely to "bend" but probably will "break." Porsche wheels from the same period, the classic Fuch five spokes, were forged ally so they would bend and not fracture on impact. Now you aren't going to argue the Italians did it better than the Germans are you, Marco?

Oddly enough, VTO is preparing to do a new wheel for new market and I was told is will be modern remake of Campagnolo wheel, to attract the Alfa Fiat crowd, I pretty indifferent to all this as I have zero interest in Italian or German cars.

We already tried to attract the Porsche market, thats a joke, there more of one wheel design crowd than the British car owners, it's Fuchs or nothing with those cats, except the 944 guys, we sold a few of them.

I'm using rims off a 2000 Accord. They are 15x6, which I like. They do not just bolt on. I had to extend the lug nuts and use 1/2" spacers. But, they are readily available and real inexpensive. I got mine (all four) for $100.00 off craigslist.

LOL course not, when did Italy produce anything that actually worked! spinning smiley sticking its tongue out The owner of those wheels pictured told me they're Campy's and I told him be careful they warp w/use and break w/impact ... I remember too well.

Marco,

Would you be able to provide more informaiton on the Alfa Turbina rims pictures on your car above? Do you know the offset of these? Did you have to roll the lip at all?

Has anyone else fitted Alfa rims onto their cars? I know some Alfa rims available now are wider (14x7) and would have problems.

The reason I'm asking is the repro Alfa GTA wheels are similar to the Dunlop repro style and can be had for a fraction of the price of the Dunlop repros from Image wheels. The exact price factor is 1:2.3
