Norm, have you used Hushmat? I hear great things about Dynamat, but it is pricy......

I did the entire interior less the door panels in Hushmat. I used Dynamat on the bulkhead between the cabin and the trunk because it was heavier and I ran out of Hushmat. Dynamat is a little heavier than Hushmat, and once it sticks to a surface it is much harder to replace if you goof the first time. Hushmat cuts easier, and it's easier to work with. I ordered the Hushmat from Amazon - cheaper than Moss. Hope this helps.

Waited...just waited for the UPS truck! It's got my rebuilt lever shocks and I want them! Swivel axles all redone with new king pins, whole front suspension painted up nice. UPS dispatch is less than 5 miles from my house and the truck was loaded at 5:30 this AM and it's just about 5 PM now! Still waiting...WAAAA! They must know I'm on vacation this week so I can always do it tomorrow but I want to drive it!

Thanks!!!

I ordered dynamat from amazon so will try that and see. Not doing the doors right now, so just the floor, engine all, and rear seat area.

Windshield. Ugh. Still coping with door closing issues, but it's in and looks great. Took 7.5 straight hours of the glass shop owner and my help.

Just bought my 77 MGB. Haven't even gotten it home yet. Thought it only needed a little brake bleeding. NOPE! Wheel Cylinders and brakes. Oh well. Maybe it will be pretty this weekend to drive. winking smiley

I used Hushmat under every piece of carpet to include the outside kick panels. You can always do the doors later, but this is your last best chance to do the rest. Have fun, and get some knee pads.

For me I never found these cars to be too loud. Then again most my cars are stripped down to little or no interior.

I removed a few things from the inside. Seats, carpet, panels, etc. Someone before me used a 4" bolt to hold the drivers side front left of the seat to the floor pan. Too long you say, don't worry they smashed the excess with a hammer to make an L shape to make sure it didn't hit the ground. angry smiley It's amazing how much trouble some people will go through to do something wrong.

It was Patriot's Day, a holiday here in MA, but I still had to work. So I took the BGT. It was a sunny day with a high temperture of 75 degrees! Passed a beautiful Series 1, E-Type coupe on the way home as it was pulling out of the (appropriately enough) New Bedford Country Club. . . And the Jag driver even waved!

Ahhh, the power of a beautiful spring day!

Cheers,

Rick

Hey Geoff,

Maybe it did hit the ground and that's why it was L shaped!

Cheers,

Rick

Finally took my dad for a ride. He's the reason I can fix cars and motorcycles and build my own furniture and love to read (he's a retired English teacher).

Growing up he restored 2 Triumph Spitfires and an MGB Roadster (among others). He had to sell the B 8 years ago or so because his Parkinson's made it too difficult to get in and out of.

I drove it to work today!!!
WooHoo!!!!!

Got there without any problems.
Although I confirmed my speedo is off and odometer is off as well.
Its 10.4 miles to work the way I went. My trip meter only read 9.6 miles.
Slightly oversized tires?
Forget the size at the moment but I can check on my break.

While driving down the highway this morning and past the Checkered Flag, I saw my Lucky B with her hood up sad smiley The owner/mechanic was looking at the Lucky B and scratching his head. I hope he just had an itch.
