NEATO! Almost as good as a B! And 25K for the ragtop S seems reasonable, too

Well I've gotta say I like it too smiling smiley Wonder what the price tage is on one of them?

"1964 MGB" (Kirby) All original pull handle MGB, 3 main, with overdrive, but a daily driver with all the dents and dings to prove it -- Titled in 1965~~

"1980 MGB" (Robbie) Even though it's a RB it does have overdrive, a Weber Carb, and is my favorite MGB. We have logged thousands of happy miles together ~~

My father just bought a Mazdaspeed Miata for $22K after a couple rebates. That is one VERY nice car! Turbo really does the trick and gives it what it's needed since day one. I love Minis, but in a convertible I'll take the Mazdaspeed!

The MINI Convertible went on sale September 1, 2004. Prices start at $21,500 for the Cooper and $24,950 for the Cooper S. Prices include a $550 destination charge. MINI expects 30 percent of the 2005 Coopers built to be convertibles.

Before long they'll be as thick as VW Beetles used to be and we'll all be glad we have "real" MGs.

That cool blue colour looks really good on the ragtop.
I may have to take one for a test drive.

You might want to think twice about getting a new MINI.

I got a 2005 Cooper S (hard top) about a month ago, and it was bought back by the dealer on Monday under the lemon law...

One morning it wouldn't start, and after about 5 times stalling out, I had to go get my B out of the garage to get to where I was going.

But I should add the thing was really fun to drive (once it got going). It really throws you back in your seat under acceleration, and corners like it's on rails. Another great part about it is the brakes. BMW seems to really have brake design down pat--no nose diving under hard braking--it just stops.

John, I think your on to something, I'm already tired of seeing those new VW beetles, they're everywhere!

MGB 76/V6

Borrowed a 2002 Cooper S for the week from MINI UK a couple of years back and liked it enough to consider buying one as a daily driver (haven't yet, but that's another story). But, and take it from someone who really knows, it ain't no real Mini!
18,000 miles on my Cooper S. Had a supercharger issue when picked up last July but was resolved immediately by Dealer in two days.

Love my MINI. Handles like its on rails. IMO, its the new affordable LBC.
