If its a 56 A its an early one first year of manufacture I think shame to do that to it what ever the PO was trying to do.

I believe that's the long-lost MGB prototype. Extremely rare, extremely valuable. I'd only heard rumours as to its existent. Now it shows up.

I thought they were still selling the TF in 1955 and the MGA came out in 1956, which would make this a rare bird.

Poor thing - someone has been very unkind to it BUT if the running gear etc are still there it could make the start of a very good restoration - at that price.

when you look ar grill area and fender flares
it looks like owner was trying to make it look a bit like a Cobra
half decent body guy could undo the damge i think pretty easily
