WELCOME TO THE NEW BBS

Posted by Skye Poier
Hello everyone!! I had no idea the BBS would be so popular when I started it, and the last system using wwwboard just wasn't up to the task. Phorum is a much better piece of software so I hope you all enjoy its enhanced features and usability.

Safety Fast!

If the posts now rise to the top, then I can go back to Skye's first post from 1999 and say thank-you.

I'm enjoying it more and more as I get used to the interface. Thanks for the upgrade. I think it will prove to be much nicer to use in the long run! smiling smiley

Nice upgrade. Often people are resistant to change. Don't know why that would happen in this case...rick

I personally prefer the chrome bumper model to the rubber bumper model.

Now that I got the threads to look the old way. I am much happier with it than I was. I would still like to see a different back color on the text box.

Very interesting, to say the least. I'm impressed with the new features but it's going to take time for me to get accustomed to the new look. Thanks for hosting this magical site. Sam C.

Just because we own cars that haven't been manufactured in 25 + years, perhaps?

So what do you all think, should I ditch this Forum software and go back to wwwboard?

Hasn't really worked out, has it...........

IMO - the forum software is doing just fine.

And for the record......
the rubber bumper/chrome bumper comment was just a joke.

A suggestion for future improvements:
While I love the search function, I have trouble with the search parameters. It might just be me, but boolean is just as understandable as Swahili.

I like the forum just fine. I do have to agree with David M on the search engine weaknesses though. In particular the the "enclose in quotes" phrase feature does not seem to work. Whenever I use quotes I get a nothing found message.

Good on ya, Blake. Skye's sort of the silent partner around here, and we don't thank him enough.

Thanks, Skye. Muchisimas!
