Original Right side sill mat and 62-67 Horn Push for sale. [Winston-Salem, N.C., USA] (no replies)

Hello all. I have not posted much since I sold my car, but do log on here. Anyway, I have a couple of spare parts some one might be interested in. I have an original right side rubber sill mat, in black. It is in excellent condition and easier to fit as opposed to the brand new ones. I believe it came off of a GT since it has 3 small screw holes at the outer edge of the metal trim. It would work on a roadster, you would just have to put a tiny spot of black silicone for the small holes. I am asking $20.00 plus shipping. I also have an original 62-67 horn push in great condition. It is dated 6/62. Repros are $80.00 new, so I am asking $40.00 plus shipping. If interested, you can either PM me here or email me at ekafant@hotmail.com. If you have replaced your carpeting and have your old battery compartment carpet piece, I'm interested and will pay a reasonable price and shipping.

I have a brand new Wix #51300 cartridge oil filter. You can have it. But it would probably cost more to mail it than to buy one locally, so offer's limited to pickup only. I'm in northern East Bay of San Francisco, halfway to Sacramento along I-80. And you can make a trip in your B to pick it up.

I do not know what year it fits. I bought it by mistake several years ago. I'm going to toss it out in a couple weeks if nobody wants it...subject to conditions above (no mailing).

This is a MG fiberglass hardtop made by Custom Hardtops out of Long Beach CA. It came with my 71 but I believe this will fit 1967 through 1980 Midgets. It is in excellent condition, I cannot find any damage to the fiberglass and the back glass looks great. The door and front seals are very nice as is the glass seal in the rear window. The latches are good and I have the main hold down parts. The rear deck area seal is missing, I am sure some aftermarket extruded seal will work fine. $750 cash only. Local pickup only, Bellingham WA 360-734-4648

Hi all,

I've had my mgb up for sale for quite some time. I wasn't super serious about selling it because everyone who was interested was so far away. Anyways I had a guy who promised that he wanted it, but asked me to drive the car to my local DMV to get the title transferred to my name. He wanted me to do this today and he come pick it up, which put me in a rush, but he promised cash. Anyways my DMV is 25 miles each way, and about on mile 45 of my trip I heard a spurt. Uh oh. I limped it home and realized that my temp gauge had went bad and I was severely overheating. Unfortunately this blew a head gasket (which I found out later, after doing a compression test on #1 cylinder and getting no compression, but oil on my spark plug). Anyways I just drove this car 50 miles round trip and it ran flawlessly until this happened. Even though the buyer and I had an agreement, he bailed and didn't pay his "guaranteed percentage" that he promised in writing. So now I have a broken down MGB with a free and clear title, a brand new $200 optima battery, almost $300 in brand new carpets, 90% of a chrome bumper conversion, and many other things for sale. I am beyond upset with the situation and at the dishonesty of the buyer, however I suppose it's a good thing this happened to me and not another potential buyer down the line. So I am selling EVERYTHING for $800. Before the head gasket, I had it up for sale for $2000 and people were calling it a steal (see link below). Here's the only catch:

I am leaving tomorrow for orlando florida for the week. I will sign the title before I leave, so my dad can sell it to anyone here. But you must get here with a trailer and pick it up before I get back or I'm scrapping it for probably $200. So please come get this great project that is probably worth much more than I'm asking as a parts car, or fix the head gasket and do an engine rebuild and drive it around! I'd much rather sell it to someone here, but I am going to medical school next year and didn't have the money or time to deal with it BEFORE this happened, so now I'm really tapped out. Thanks very much and have a wonderful day.

I haven't been able to find anything searching the site. What is the best automotive grade epoxy? Looking for something better than J-B Weld. I'm trying to avoid drilling holes in my 69 MGB and I want to mount a bracket in the trunk for the fire extinguisher, plus a small tool box. I've done this on other cars and have used J-B Weld and it worked fine for a while but eventually broke. We had some stuff in the Navy when I was in about 30 years ago that we used to epoxy antennas to Marine Corps Amphibious vehicles, but I'm unable to find the commerical equivalent. An ideas?
Thanks;

Hi everyone,

I recently purchased a 1978 MG Midget and the only thing that the previous owner changed was the rims.
I live in Toronto Ontario and would love to get my hands on some OEM clean rims for my car!

Being in Toronto, I realize that shipping will be an absolute pain in the butt, however I am 100% trustworthy and honest (even though I am a new member with few posts)

I posted a pic of my car below.

Thanks and I look forward to tracking these down!!!

Have cash, can travel within reason.

OK guys and dolls...this is for the car I'm trying to save from the scrap heap. I promise I am not out to make a ton of money on this. Little Red has a very nice body, and shouldn't be relegated to the parts bin. Help me save it!

I need a five main, long block engine. Something that won't break the bank to make workable. You know what I'm after. I don't mind a refresh, but not a rebuild. I can't see it selling for cost with a rebuilt engine.

I've got all the ancillaries, alternator, carb, etc. Need an engine. Rod H. came down and put the kiss of death on the old engine. Too many deep cracks between the 3 and 4 cylinders.

Whatcha got out there? Be nice, I really just think this is too nice to part out.

If you're serious about these cars, you know what I mean here. (:D

I have a set of AUD405 carbs for sale that fit 70-71 MGBs. All pistons, linkages, and jet bushings move freely. They come with the linkages, heat shield, manifold, and if desired a set of Stelling and Hasting Air Cleaners. The carbs need rebuilding and the throttle shafts are worn. The heat shield has the typical stress crack starting in the upper right side and also has some surface rust. The carb spacers have had a small additional hole drilled and the air cleaners have some pitting. I want $130 for the carb set up and a additional $20 for the air cleaners plus shipping. I will sell the air cleaners separately. Thanks, Dale. Carb set up sold, air cleaners are still available. Thanks, Dale

I replaced mine with new ones minus the speaker cutout, so these are black with the speaker hole and in better than average shape. They came off my 77 so please make sure the application is the same for yours. You'll need the attaching gizmos as all mine were good and reused. I will send them to you for shipping cost alone, and confirmation that you have donated to Skye on this site. OKAY RANTERS?
