Replacing Sills

Completed Sills

New inner and out sills installed. The lower inner fenders required significant repair. Inner sills went on without any problems. The rockers were a different story. The curve was the wrong length and radius. The metal was much thicker than orginal which made reshaping VERY difficult. At this point, you may guess where these cam from. The Moss rockers are much easier to modify for proper fit. The body was bolted securely to the frame and the doors installed prior to welding the sills.

There was not much left of the rear tub. The car sat outside minus the boot lid for 30 years. The rear shroud (or valence) was bent up, it rusted badly as a result of water trapped in the creases. The rear body to frame supports were almost completely gone. I straightened everything out, then made patterns for the rear inner fender patches. Left A Pillar Replacement

There just was not enough left of the A pillar to repair. There wasn't much metal holding it to the body. The picture shows the rusted metal cut away and the finished repair. I made many measurements to ensure that the new pillar was positioned properly.
