"Oh that magic feeling" ...The Obsession started in 2003. My wife purchased a 78 midget as a 25th wedding anniversary gift. Ironically the midget was also 25 yrs old at the time! The Gt came along 2yrs later as a stand in while I was to work on the midget. It originated from Zurich, Switzerland. The only difference about it is that the speedo is in Kms and the radio is a blaupunkt. "Kitty" the Jag, was acquired July 01,2012 by trading the Midget straight across. The GT has been sold and the proceeds purchased a 24' Laguna sailboat. "The adventures continue".

I'm having a lot of fixes done to the car instead. It's all basic maintenance that previous owners have scrimped on and screwed things up or just the run of the mill stuff that has worn out. Stuff getting done - plugs changed (just done a year ago by previous owner - all gapped to different measures, various different types of plugs, not meant for this car) fuel injection harness, oil sending unit wiring, compression test - 180 lbs across the board.. master cylinder rebuild, rear brakes and bush...

Spent more time sailing our boat than playing with the car. Right now, some small issues are being addressed on the car. Repack bearings, replace hood struts, tune up and hopefully a spirited drive soon. The boat has been a blast .

The new owner of the GT is ecstatic with his purchase. What makes the transition a delight for me, is knowing it is going to a welcoming home. The owner is a young chap with many years experience working with cars and his father used to be a MG mechanic at a dealership in London years ago. The proceeds from the GT sale have funded the purchase of a 24' laguna sailboat. My wife who has absolutely no sailing experience is actually more excited about the boat than me. Well it sold in record time. I have taken the proceeds and purchased a sailboat in it's stead. The final details will be completed today sometime. More bits of info to come.
