6 years later, my 21st and the car's 50th. Not updated this for a long time but over the past three years I've started my Apprenticeship for Triumph Motorcycles as a design engineer, completed two years of uni as part of the training and in the background always working on the car. Well I haven't updated this as regularly as I hope hoped but since, starting as a design apprentice at the revived Triumph motorcycles I have found less time to document what I have been doing to the car. One of the first major changed to the car was the replacement of the exhaust. When my dad brought my car there was a mass of wiring hanging loose under the dashboard as well as two speakers mounted in the wooden bulkhead between the boot and cabin. There had at one point been a radio in the car but by the looks of it had used some sort of custom built mount. I believe that I have quite an original car and is certainly the only mkII that I have seen with the original body shell. I have not updated this journal in quite a while and in the 6 months or so since then quite a lot has happened to the car. I am very nearly now at the stage where the car is ready to take an MOT but there were a few steps between November and now that I have not covered. First, for Christmas I received a pair of wing mirrors and 3-point seatbelts for the car. Not what every 17 year would ask for but it suited me down to the ground.
