During the course of this project, I determined that I wanted a steering column mounted turn signal lever, a center steering wheel horn button and options for smaller diameter steering wheels. So, I took the TF shaft, removed the adjustable extension section and adapted in the wheel mount section of an early MGB steering shaft. Over the last few months I have made excellent progress with wiring my MG TF Pickup, but have had some significant issues elsewhere. The ignition switch I bought from EBay had a faulty interior contact which diverted power from the solenoid start circuit. I replaced with a used switch saved from an MGB V8 project and it works as designed. My 1954 MG TF/B Pickup project finally got it's MGB engine last Sunday. There is still lot's to do before the rig is ready to run, but it looks more like a real car with it's new engine installed!

In October, 2012, I finally got around to prepping and painting the car. As you know, there are always many stages of sanding, filling, sanding, filling, sanding... before painting. And then there is sanding and repainting. With the car dis-assembled, there are many repeated steps when you have limited space to work in.
