An interesting (I use that term lightly) difference in 68MGB's is the placement of the timing marks. They are underneath the balancer. I was not aware of this, but I took pictures (see Below) of how the rotor- timing marks, and plug wires were positioned so I had a reference point. Since the engine had not started, I was not sure if it was timed as it should be. Thanks to John Dailey's post I decided to try starting the engine the way it was timed when I purchased it. WALLAH. BIG WIPP. WOW. And ...
