Cam timing, My rebuilt motor was put together as a short Block by the Machinist, I still had to install the head and Timing gears and Chain, I came across a problem of Lining up the dots of the cam and Crank gear, according to the Haynes manual. Crank at top dead centre Key way at 12 o’clock and the cam key way at 2 o’clock. No matter what I did the dots on the cam and crank sprocket were not aligned.
