3.4L Engine Swap

Posted on: Sunday April 8, 2012

IMG 7083

I bought a low mileage 1994 Chevy Camaro 3.4L engine along with a five-speed T5 gearbox to shoehorn into my 1975 MBG. Although my original intention was to install it complete with fuel injection and ECM, I have decided to go with a much simpler carburetor and distributor combination. I purchased it from a Camaro wrecking yard out of San Jose called GM Sports. Recessed License Plate

Posted on: Sunday February 5, 2012

I sometimes get carried away with the angle grinder and MIG welder. This is a perfect example. I hate the look of the exterior mounted license plate bracket and wanted to do something a little different so I frenched a license box into the rear. I still need to trim and weld it into place. I like the way it ties the rear of the car into the Sebring valance.

Rear Tail Light Fillers - Part 2

The triangular shaped rear tail light fillers I bought from Victoria British will not work with the Sebring rear bumper so I need to make my own. I made a template from cardboard and gaffers tape then cut triangles at the folds so I could flatten it and use it as a sheet metal pattern.
