Paces1

Had some fun at PBIR last weekend. I didn't officially enter, since the clutch hasn't been feeling right, but still went out and did some fast laps in between the official heats. Had a great time (though I couldn't get past Tad's Jag). Just pulled the engine to put the new clutch in. I've got the flywheel at the machine shop being lightened and will hopefully have everything back together next weekend. I'll have to have another go at Tad here soon!

Cars and Coffee

Had a great time cruising up to this month's "Cars and Coffee" with my buddy Dave (That's his MGA). There was a glorious selection of automobiles, owned by both the Cars and Coffee folks and by "Ragtops of the Palm Beaches" who hosted the event. They've got a LOVELY Pre-War Wolseley for sale in the mid $40's that I'd love to grab if I had the extra funds... and garage space!

IMAG0422

Sadly, the boys are asking to be able to go for rides in Madge again, so I think I'll be swapping the rollbar for the back seat this week. Too bad; I like the sporty feel of the rollbar and tonneau.

Heathrow Manifold painted

Somewhere on the forum, I'd seen someone who had painted the the inner fins on their cast manifold black. Getting Madge ready to go up to Sebring, I decided to clean the grime out of the fins on the manifold.... After I was done I took a bit of gloss manifold paint to them so I can wait a little before I have to do it again!
