I appreciate the post regarding the Air Rail filler bolts. I took the rail off of my 70 MGB as well, and have been trying to figure out where to go to get some filler bolts. Sounds like a trip to the local ACE hardware is in my weekend plans! (and some Blue Locktite)

this charcoal renewing is a step I have also wanted to tackle, thanks for the posting, with the exception of mending my wire harness, I too am close to firing up ol Blue.

Tim, It is annoying to remove the charcoal canisters from the car due to the location of the camps connecting the two canisters. Same goes for removing the canisters if the screws holding the canisters are rusted due to the location. The actual process to renew the canisters is simple. Took less time to refresh both canisters than it did to actually get one canister out of the car.

I just removed my rail 2 days ago. I cut the 4 lines going down into the engine from the main tube made them about 2 inches long. Then squeezed then shut in a vice. They would look better of I cut the shorter. The only question left is the Gulp valve...does it need to be closed off or left open to breathe?
