Weber carb/manifold question

i just obtained a weber carb/manifold for m,y 1500...i cant install it now cause my car is having the floor pans replaced....but....i see on the bottom of the manifold a 1/2 inch tube.....it is just a tube...straight through ....no connection to the intake ......whats it for and what if anything connects to it................thanks...ted

Coolant passes through a hose on late model MGB's from the back of the engine goes through that tube which heats the manifold amd the water operated choak on the zenith carbs, then connects to the front bottom radiator hose. Some Weber manifolds have that and some don't depending on the application.

In alabamba you don't need it hooked up. the tube itself works as a throttle return spring mount point if you have the semicircular bellcrank.
