Before I ask one of the usual suspects can anyone tell me if the rocker switches used from '72 - '76 are interchangeable dimension wise with '76 - '80? (I know the pin arrangements are different). This is for a UK car ie no padded dash.

Mk1: CKD 11/66 first registered 8/5/67; owned since 3/77. 18GB +40 balanced. Peter Burgess BVFR head. Piper 285. 123. FidanzaFW. 4synch c/r box. Lots more as I did a nut and bolt rebuild; finished 2015. Tartan Red.

GT: December '78. VW Golf guards, flush fit front and rear valances. Torana XU1 vents, frenched indicators & Mk1 rear lights. 'Worked' Rover V8 with Monsoon ECU for EFI. GM4L60E, Lokar tiptronic & Quick4 controller. Vintage Air A/C. FC IFS. CCE 4 link rear. Salisbury with Quaife. Jaguar Storm.

Still searching, so far all I've found is that it fits a 30mm X 22mm hole.

Which year span fits a 22x30mm hole Mark or is that the size for both? That may be enough for me to go on.

I used your Moss UK catalogue and searched the internet for the AAU 3024, 5, 6 and 10 numbers. I stopped at the AAU3204 at that time because it listed a hole size. I'm trying to find out if they are NOT the 159SA size used in North America from 72-76. The newer, more square design is a 130 something SA. Still looking through all my Lucas stuff.

Still searching, but this is what I've found, for what it's worth, on 77-81.
AAU 3202 is the USA heater switch.
AAU3204 (Lucas 30926) is the UK and Canada heater switch.
AAU3203 is the USA hazard switch. AAU3205 is the UK and Canada hazard switch (Lucas 30928).
These are in the Lucas catalogue as 183SA, and fit in a 32 X 17 hole. Well, at least that's what I think the fuzzy numbers show.
I'm thinking, but not convinced yet, that the 183SA switches should all go in the same hole, UK, Canada, or USA.

Understood. I know what size hole the AAU series go into. I tried a similar search on one of the '72-'76 BHH series but so far to no avail; I'll keep searching.

Ok - got it. Wiper switch BHA5110 fits hole size 38.5 x 23mm so not interchangeable. And '72-'76 are 159SA according to my source - evilbay. Thanks for your clues Mark.

And FWIW I'm now sorted for alternative/additional rocker switches (if that's the way I go) by Holdens.

I just measured all my spare 159SA switches, the ones used from 72-76. They fit in a 44mm X 28mm hole. These are the BAU and BHA prefix numbers.
I sure hope this is the information you've been asking for. And I apologize if I misunderstood the post.

No misunderstanding Mark - see my post above yours.

Got it, thank you! I've purchased from some switches and other parts from Holden's, they've been great for me. Another one I've used is AES, because sometimes their parts are on eBay.
