How are the exterior door handles removed from a 74 midget? It looks like the glass has to come out to get at them?
Thanks for any tips.

First off the shop manual is wrong. I did my right side of my 73. You have to unbolt the roll up window as well as the wing(vent). I loosened the wing enough to raise it high enough to be able to move the roll up window up and out of the way to get to the door handle. Small hands and a lot of patience are required. Also pay attention to detail on reassemble to make sure everything works properly. Don't rush.

Not sure if a 1500 is the same but my manual says step 3 after the door panel is removed and battery disconnected is to remove door glass. Since the bodies are similar I would assume this means that yeah you get to have that bit of fun.

If you never try to do it You will never be able to do it
