77 midget won't rev past 35 hundred rpm when trying to accelerate, rebuilt zs carb and pertronix ignition. I found this out on first test drive Timing set to 10 deg btdc , Any hints?

Thanks for no replies. It was the electronic fuel pump going bad..

It would have been difficult to suggest that, as the car was originally fitted with a mechanical fuel pump.
