Got my real SU jets so I put the HIFs on my 65. So, I ran the bowl vent behind the engine and down past the starter. Make sense? It did not make sense to send it down right over the exhaust

Next step is to retrofit a PCV system. I went to the store and blew through a couple of dozen and found one with a pretty small high vac mode. Frustrating as there are no specs for any of them. All we know is MG used 5/64 for a fixed port.

Ah, no, since in that position, any excess fuel will soak into caked oil on the trans etc., making a real nice fire starter for if and when the exhaust lights up random fumes. By sending the flow down and below the exhaust as in the stock '65 set up, you miss out on that.
Buy a mushroom and be done.
