I'm planning to buy a leather wrap for my 1969 B's steering wheel. Two options: Moss, and Wheelskins.
Moss lists a 16 1/2" wheel, but the smallest grip circumference they list is 2 3/8". I measured my wheel, and got 16 1/" dia., but only 2 1/4" grip.
Wheelskins asks for measurements, and presumably will give me a custom 2 1/4" grip.
So: does anyone have experience with these two options, specifically for a 1969 car, which apparently is fairly unique?
Also: if you've done this, I've seen a 'baseball' stitch recommended. Looks great: anyone done that?
Thanks.
And I have to say, as a newbie, coming over from the dark side (356 Porsche), this groups is very welcoming and helpful!!!

Wheelskins is a very good cover, I have on on the stock 74 MGB wheel. They probably do have a 2-1/4 inch size for a better fit. Their covers use a quite thick piece of leather and, to me, somewhat takes away from that narrow vintage feel. But definitely better for a long drive. Also, the thread and stitch pattern is included which is easy to use and works well.

I have one of the Moss jobs on my original wheel thats been hanging on my wall for over 20 years. Good fit ..no issues...but I prefer the slightly smaller and much thicker Moto Lita I put on it

I have the Moss cover. About 12 years old. Perfect. Sort of pricey. Don't care, nice.
Takes a while to put it on. Best done with the wheel off.
Looks like the factory one that came on the C.
Not baseball laced, I think.

Here is another option. This firm will make a cover to fit any size wheel you have. A template is sent, one fills in the necessary dimensions and a cover is shipped.

Result on a Bluemels wheel, not MG but I have done one on a B wheel, good result

Life's most persistent and urgent question is, "What are you doing for others?"

Following up on this: Everything I've seen says my 1969 wheel is 16 1/2" . I measure it as (about) 16 1/4". And I measured the grip as (about) 2 1/4"
FWIW: Wheelskins offers o.d. and grip sizes in 1/16" increments. I'm not sure I can measure that accurately.
So the question is: how big *is* my steering wheel?
