I have my HIF's on my 80 B now and working on exhaust.
Have a early style front pipe which goes into 2 mounted up. My question is the exhaust strap that the sing header
used as a brace that bolted to the center of the car underneath, is this omitted now because of the two pipes.

I think this is an important support. I used a standard exhaust clamp and hooked up the brace.

Brace it from bottom bolt on transmission to single down pipe.
Use similar clamp as # 27

If you think about the purpose of the brace/strap that secures the exhaust pipe to the bell housing, I believe that most anyone would agree that it's a good idea. For me it's mandatory.
That brace ensures that the exhaust pipe moves with the engine when the engine moves during acceleration torque. Otherwise, there is constant stress on the pipe connection(s) on the manifold or header.
You might be able to go for some time without a problem, but, IMHO, it's not worth the risk. The brace is relatively easy to fit, even if you have to fabricate it
