The LH (driver door) in my car has no rust, but looks like it was hit before (generous amount of Bondo, courtesy of PO) and has Crack of Doom. There's a '67 door available locally and was wondering if it will fit my '72 (hardware, windows..etc). Any advice?
Cheers,

Window winder & inside door opener are in different locations but will fit & work if you can stand the early door on one side & the late door on the other.

Doors are so common that it wouldn't be worth the time and effort to modify. The door panels are held on differently as well as the door pulls.

Thanks Glenn, I did not know that.
Good that I checked..

Are these the correct doors for '67 and '72 (found online). If so, then I clearly see your point
Thanks again..

That could be a 67 door and 72 is basically like the picture excepting the door pull.

The 1972 interior door trim is unique to that year, so save yours… earlier panels lack the chrome trim, later cars have an armrest.

1973 and later doors also added anti-burst latches… these may or may not be compatible with your body shell… look first to make sure.

Huh. My 72 has arm rest/door pulls. Not stock?? I found that the tach is different compared to earlier and later cars.

Hi Chris,

Clausager says "simple door pulls" for MY 72, not armrests. Beginning s/n 258001 through 294250.

I just went to see the '67 door. Surprisingly, it is identical to my '72. Door handle, window winder and all..
I decided against buying it anyway because it had more rust than my existing one. I'd rather deal with some panel beating than rust patching..
Unless another good door comes along. Who knows..

thanks for all who replied..
