Can you let me know if a 1971 MGB Factory Hardtop will fit a 1976 Midget?

Thank you in advance - the car top is very far away and this is the reason I am asking.
Please let me know.

Quite simply, the MGB is a different car. A bigger car.

There were factory tops for Midgets.

There were factory tops for MGBs/MGCs.

They are NOT interchangable.

Basically, the "B" has a longer and wider cockpit than the Sprite/Midget.........

Too bad. I have a fiberglass top from an MGB that I was hoping to slice and dice to fit the MGA. I figured that, being fiberglass, almost any MG top could be made to fit another model with some work and a bit of luck, you know? Similar windshield curvature, height, rake, etc., at least a re-workable base to begin with. Never really measured, just thought that the similar lineage might give me a head start in the modifications.

Wrong again !
