Hi all! Last year I bought a '76 Midget that had been sitting for a while. I bought it with the intention of it being my project car that would help me to learn a little more about car repair and restoration. It's been sitting in my garage and I'm finally ready to work on it. The problem is, I have no idea where to start. It doesn't have a battery so I know that that should be step one. After that I need to make sure that the fuel lines are empty and intact. Beyond that I'm lost. Any helpful tips and advice for a newbie?

Unless you have an aftermarket electric fuel pump, you will need to siphon the fuel out of the tank via the supply pipe to the mechanical fuel pump. Otherwise the awakening article is very good.
