I had another topic where my low beam wouldn't turn on for the headlights but the high beam worked. It turns out I have a VB headlight harness (Item 10-679) that's plugged into the connector under the right front fender. My best guess is the low beam relay went out and I need a replacement.

For those that have the VB headlight harness, is this the most likely cause of what I'm experiencing?

Thanks!

Get your meter out and check the input and output at the relay. If the relay does not work VB has them listed in their catalog. I have this relay system in my TR6 and Midget. They are excellent. The only problem I had was with the relays in the TR6. The relays became corroded inside and had to be replaced. Of course I washed the engine bay every time I washed the car and the relays were mounted in such a way that water got in them when washing the bay. Like the old saying, "Too soon old and too late smart."

I use that system on my blue car and in the winter when its cold the high beam doesn't want to let go so I'm running both beams for a while till the relay lets go. When its warm there is no problem. Thinking the relays are sub-standard so later I'll be picking up some at AutoZone.

Got it fixed! The relay to the headlights was bad. Swapped it with the high beam relay and everything works fine now.

Thanks everyone!
