In 1969 after being discharged form the Navy in Long Beach I was moving back to San Antonio, Texas. I had a l959 Chevy convertible and a 1965 Midget. I purchased a universal tow bar, removed the bumper on the midget.and bolted it straight on the bumper mounting studs. The midget tracked perfectly and we made the trip with absolutely no problems. I still have the tow bar and it has been used on various vehicles since that time, but the attachment to the midget was the simplest. Good luck.

If you still have the "tie-down" rings in the front those are what i have hooked my towbar to.
My towbar was just two pieces of galvanized waterpipe (1" OD x 8 foot long each) that I bent into mild "S" shape, put some holes into, attached a receiver to one end and bolted the other end to the tie-down rings. Towed Spridgets several thousand miles that way.

X2 on the tie downs, but get a proper bar. I didn't do it right towing a Toyota Celica with a Toyota pickup from Houston to Florida, 100 miles and it came loose, luckily I was able to get it stopped before any damage. I always carried MGB and Midgets on a 5'x10 single axle lawn trailer.

I am moving to a new home, and I need to tow my Midget about 3 miles. I'd hate to have to pay $150.00 for towing just for that, and uhaul doesn't have a utility trailer with a winch. Also, NONE of my local friends with car haulers or even ATV trailers have winches on them either (why not???), so tow bar seems reasonable.

When my 23 window 1961 VW combi blew it's engine in the mountains of Puerto Rico I had my buddy push me 30 miles in my company Fiat 124. He pushed me uphill, I coasted down, no damage to either vehicle. It was a wild ride.
ahhhh...the fond memories of my grandfathers LADA 2101(Russian Fiat 124 copy) Loved that old car.

Eric, did you get the clutch and brakes working? If so I'd wait for the cover of darkness and drive her over.
Nope, that's why the tow... Too much time wasted on slow contractors, we're about 6 months behind schedule. But I ordered carpeting today for the "new" house, so we're down to weeks instead of months! Woot!

Wow am I behind the times! I'd offer to help you move, but, well, you are too far away...
When I moved my 79 we just stuck a come-along on the front of the utility trailer. It worked great!
