I am putting on a Robbins Top Frame cover on my 1969. My questions is that is has an elastic strip with a snap on each side by the wheel well.

I have no snap on my wheel wells so I need to install them. Does anyone know where they go or have a picture I can work off of. Thanks

Don't know if your boot cover on the '69 is like my '76 cover but..............the elastic strap has a lift-the-dot snap on the end which fits over a post on the wheel well 2 -3 inches up from the parcel deck and about 2 inches in from the side wall.

Mine has snaps (not LaD) but no corresponding male snap that I can find. I just let it hang down - Someday...

I just installed cover on my 75B. When I redo interior this fall going to move male end to center position, to snap down center strap. Hope pics help you on location of LAD locations.

There are 4 Lift-a dot male post fasteners along the edge - these are located 1" down from the lid surface. The 2 outer posts are about 5" in from the side and the inner set are another 14". If located properly, there should be 10-1/2" between the centre 2 posts. Location can be verified by the spacing of the female Lift-a dot fasteners on your tonneau cover flaps.
For reference, these are from a '76.

So I see how the 2 outer lift the dot fasteners match up with elastic straps on the boot cover. But what are the inner 2 used for?

I also have snaps on the wheel well that line up with shorter straps on the sides. However none of these straps don' have any hardware on them just a square of vinyl at end of the elastic. I'm going to add two snaps and two LTD fasteners.

Quote: But what are the inner 2 used for?

Look at your tonneau cover and you'll see that there are 2 flaps (each having 2 female lift-a-dots) that attach to these 4 male lift-a dots when stowed over the folded down top.
