If you're going to be an a-hole driver, maybe don't be one towards a cyclist with a) a camera, b) who is also a BBC Presenter, and c) in a car that is untaxed... grinning smiley

Both idiots. She shouldn't be driving because her attitude is totally out of control, and if he thinks stopping in the middle of the road, and blocking her on a bicycle, while she is clearly 'off the planet', is going to lead to a longer life....he may be proven to be incorrect.eye rolling smiley
Got her on film, go to the cops.

sometimes you have to be careful you don't get what you wish for....she is definitely an idiot but it looks like he went out of his way to wind her up...I reckon it started when she beeped her horn and he played funny buggers ...there was plenty of room when he stopped the second time where there was no parked cars to move over and still keep cycling and allow her on her way ....I think the cops surely would also look at why was he stopping and impeding her movement ....to explain why is B.S.....pointing finger like a gun ??...as much as she is an idiot , I believe she was set up and he surely would have turned his head to get that on camera if she really did it ...he is the one who needs the Karma .....she just needs good sex to minimize her energy and shut her up !

Thank God for portable cameras and the internet - Not...

She definitely has interpersonal skill issues but he totally baited her. Video can be interpreted many ways.

- She toots her horn on a narrow road to let him know she is there.
- He decides to block the road and confront her rather than using the very large area (on both sides) where he could pull over and let her pass
- Then he winds her up multiple times

His act of stopping where he knew she could not pass was an invitation to a confrontation.

If he did that over here it probably would have ended very badly for him. He seems like a real plonker.

That could be turned around and titled "Today's bicyclist". If England is anything like here, and I am sure it is because drivers are drivers and cyclists are cyclists, then who knows how many times she has been held up by some self absorbed, selfish bicyclist riding down the middle of the road going substantially less than the speed limit. There are some cyclists who think that just because they are subject to the same rules of the road, they are entitled to use the whole road. Will they move for a car? No. Wearing their little "racing" suits with sponsor labels all over, going 25 in a 40, right down the middle. I've seen car drivers get angry, but not nearly as angry as some of these cyclists.

...agreed, and with many bicyclists(not all),the very act is a political statement, and it an arrogant militancy that they believe they are the chosen few who should inherit the earth, prima facie evidence, the very video posted.smoking smiley

Nothing but a cyclist who was looking for trouble with a camera. He deliberately stopped just to block the motorist and create a problem that he could film and post. Poor baby! He's a victim wannabe

I must have watched a different video, as I saw someone incandescent with rage behind the wheel of a car, which isn't a safe way to be driving, and figured that the response shown to the cyclist was completely out of all proportion, and I would be concerned that unless the driver calms down a bit there is real chance of messing up on the road in one way or another. I don't care that the cyclist stopped to have a word, there is no need for that type of behaviour, totally over the top response. Ever made a minor driver error and had someone behave like that towards you - if so, did you feel that it was a just a right way to behave?

People are just too angry - bad for your health, your safety, and for society. That would have been a non-event if the driver had expressed her disdain for the cyclist in civil terms like adults are capable of - not always easy, but its nice to treat others as you would have them treat you. The cyclist in this case appeared to be trying to remain civil, I say good for him, that could have really escalated had he behaved in a reciprocal manner.

I am not a cyclist, just a road user with four wheels.

When you are dealing with someone determined to be a b**hole like that cyclist, the horn is not going to change a thing but make him more determined

You just had to remind me of those damn bicyclists, didn't you?
I am so glad to have moved away from those herds and their fancy outfits.

Why was the cyclist riding with two cameras?

Gerry answered it. They decided to "do a bit" where they find a motorist who loses it so they can post it. Why did he choose to stop in the middle of a narrow road and block the car when there were 2 safe areas for him to pull over? Same reason - to wind her up.

I wonder how much footage they got where the driver did not take the bait? Probably a lot.

I don't condone the driver's action/ reaction but in "childish terms" - He started it.
