Just got new bumpers and overriders, I can't decide on using the new overriders. It looks way cool without them, but it looks so MGB with them. How about a poll.

Might consider putting a photo of with & without; would help us decide the better look easier. I'd be interested in the outcome.

I like no overriders on the front, especially on the fishmouth, er, "recessed grille" (1970-72) cars… that blade bumper without overriders visually enhances width.

If going with overriders, I prefer the later (1970-74) ones. The earlier all-steel ones have a "bulky" appearance that looks kinda "50s" to me.

Over riders were optional. Without in the front looks great! The rears though have the license plate lights unless you go with the late license plate holder.

I did not know what an "Overrider" was so I looked it up. Here is the image.

Unless you have a '70. Hmmm.............. I wonder how mine would look from the rear w/o the over riders............

Exactly, They look really cool without. It adds alot of bling with them. As far as license plate lights, i'll rig something, just under the middle of the bumper. I'll take pics of both ways since I have not mounted it yet.

LED bolts, or a LED plate frame that also incorporates third brake light try Amazon.

Ah yes, the inevitable exception! You may cause a run on 1970 rear bumpers! That would look really cool!

Over riders were optional only on the front of very early cars, and standard on all others. I read somewhere credible like Clausager, that in practice all cars were delivered with them. Without them something seems to be missing.

I bought my car with no over riders, so I bought them and I think it looks much better, but it depends on what your car looks like and your personal opinion. cool smiley
