Yes, the US. Senior pass for 62 and older, lifetime one time $10 fee. It works as a parking pass for a vehicle. We used it for backpacking in national forests.

It also works for 1/2 price camping fees in some parks and recreation sites.

Most of us here have an aversion to camping in the woods.
Only camp at car shows, right?
In 2011 the Dollar Lake lightening strike fire destroyed our favorite camping spot at Cairn Basin, up at the 5500' elevation on Mt Hood. We went back anyway in 2015. It was hardly recognizable. As a matter of fact, we set up in a spot that was not burned which we thought was the right place, but it just didn't seem right. Next day we explored and found the decimated campsite. We recognized it by rocks, the view, and the lay of the land.
It was pretty sad. Had camped there all three times backpacking the 40 mile Mt Hood Timberline loop trail, plus probably four or five other shorter trips there as a destination. Fortunately most of the area was not burned.
Yes, I think you should camp free, Chris.

Sorry! I left out a phrase: most of us have an aversion to paying for camping in the woods. I'll fix it.

Lol! Well, I have a kind of aversion to camping anywhere within about 5 miles of a car, especially in a drive-in campground. Where we go the fee is for parking (ditching) the vehicle at a trailhead. Never really minded paying a few bucks for that...but now I don't have to pay it!
The evening of the photo below I don't think there were any other human beings within a mile or so.
