A quick question
I have a '76 rubber bumper roadster. My tie rod end are currently oriented the same way as shown in the manual. Ie, nut to the bottom of the leaver arm.
I was recently looking at a John Twist video on removing the end, in which the car had the end printed the other way, nut on top.
Which is correct?
As mine has lowered front springs, the nut down orientation does angle the rods up somewhat.

Angled up is quite normal on a lowered car but because of the taper fit the only way the ends could go nut up would be if the steering arms had been swapped over too.
Perfectly possible to do but having never tried it I couldn't say how it would angle the arms although I doubt it would be to any advantage.
We definitely need to see that video.

Well all of my nuts hang down.

First rule of forum debate:
• My opinion becomes truth if I can find one other person, on the Internet with the same opinion. It is 'chiselled in stone" if I find two!

which jt vid is that? i have never seen them nut up.
One I saw a few days back when following a thread on this forum for some reason. Can't remember what though.
Forgot about the taper, they won't fit the other way without reversing the leavers.
