That is really interesting.
I have long thought this might be an interesting choice - new engine.

I saw a video of this engine a few days ago - I'm intrigued to say the least. There's been a lot of commentary about the rotary motion and longevity of the internal components but it's a great concept in that it produces more torque than a similar sized engine. Love the concept.

Very interesting idea, but I have some worries about them, and I haven't seen the cost which probably is astronomical compared to pulling a motor from a wrecked motorcycle or swapping to a more modern 4 cylinder.

Agreed, Fixxer, but those old engines won't be around forever.

Those designs have been around forever and they never see any kind of production.

No, but for the 1275 and a-series croud they made millions and millions more of the engines than they made spridgets. As long as those motors eventually find their way on a shelf and people keep making pistons and con rods and everything. We should be OK. 1500 owners may have to eventually start ploppong some interesting transplants in.

I agree Seth, especially at my age it will never be something to worry about. But it is fun to consider some of the more interesting options.

try finding a working 1500 through "normal" avenues now. A drop in, not a rebuild. Unless you are willing to part up a car they are getting hard to find.
