80C /176F is low 75C /167F is way too low. Confirm what the gauge is telling you with what is actual. MGB engines like to run at 88C/190f 93C/200F in slow traffic on a hot day you might see 100C
Have you cleaned the radiator and flushed it lately and replaced the tstat? If not you should if it has been years you won't believe the crud.
90F today in Jersey? On the hot pavement at a crawl 212F possible.
another reason I prefer electric puller fans. They run at full speed when you need them to
What good is a mechanical factory fan turning at 800rpm in slug traffic on a 90F day? Nada.Zip,zilch

We have been at 90 down here too.
Measuring the gauge is kind of a pain, as the correct way is to pull it out and use boiling water to reference 100C.
The other way is if you have one of those handy IR remote temp sensors, you can shoot the top of the thermostat and get a pretty good reading.
Suspect too cool or a stuck open thermostat, or worse, some fool removed it.
Cogito ergo sum periculoso

Why is a guy in New Jersey talking centigrade anyway?
“Ideological certainty easily degenerates into an insistence upon ignorance". Daniel Patrick Moynihan
In any debate, the side which strays from civil discussion is usually the side that lacks confidence in its debate position or in the merit of their arguments. Making personal attacks on the opponents instead of staying on the subject is also a sign of weakness.
Anyone who feels compelled to respond in kind to any perceived slight is often suffering from narcissism.
