7K on a rev counter. Love that sound. For the benefit of my and the biker crowd amusement
I left the 4way stop with a right turn, off camber, up hill. Hit 2nd gear as the left sweeper
opened up. Snap we are in third at 6.8k. The engine, the sc/cr box, the LOUD exhaust....
dang tootin skippy Spring is here. I bet those Harley guys hanging out at the 4way parking
lot where saying....what the heck was THAT.
I KNOW they heard the A Series for a mile or more.
And the wife with the pooch following in the MGB completed the parade.
Spring has sprung.

Sounds like funn david! Been out for the last 4 hours testing the limits ...stretching 3rd gear at 5300 is repeat-worthy hopping up on the expressway ramps. Im saving the twisties for late this evening after traffic dies down.

I'm off tomorrow, so this day will be put on repeat at 10 am while everyone is working. LOL...car is running crazy great!

Spring has sprung? You betcha...

Sounds great guys! Rain and familial obligations have mine in the garage this weekend but this week is looking promising for an evening drive or two after work.

Ah, Spring has sprung and a young man's fancies turn to ......

Over here, Winter is coming fast. We had hail the other day and a bit of rain since. The long Summer has gone and Autumn is in retreat. The best I can expect is crisp, dry days when the sun is shining.

My project car won't be ready until Summer anyway.

I'll get my hot weather fix soon with a trip to Cape York (in the 4x4).

Have fun guys and girls while the sun's out!

Kurt.

Mimi in full song is THAT loud. Basically a straight ss pipe w/ a small resonator butted
up to big bore header. While it is loud at WOT, my favorite part is that lumpy idle tone.
Once a guy from a Harley crowd asked me how much it weighed. I said.....'Bout same
as a fat guy and his old lady on a Harley. He laughed then agreed it was probably true.
Saw him walk over the others and appeared to share my joke as they pointed and laughed.
Weather is looking better and better in these parts. Yeeee Haaa

I heard every beautiful note from my Harley exhaust yesterday and took the long way to work and back (despite some electrical woes). Roger in Australia...don't think hail is a wintertime phenomenon. Around here we got pea sized hail just last week! April showers and hellish hail!

The only sign of spring I've seen with my car is that its covered in pollen (while still being on jack stands, lol).

My new black 2012 car sits out and gets the pollen all over it. The Midget gets to park indoors and doesn't suffer those indignities.

I'm still waiting for the nice to arrive.. Tried to take my MKII to driver's school the 17th, but 24" of snow put the kaibash on that. I could hardly get the F350 truck to plow it, it was so heavy. then more snow last weekend. hot smiley
On the better side, I may be able to trailer the BE down to get its exhaust properly done this week. grinning smiley

Mimi is forced to share her garage with the MGB. I did sell the '77 Bonneville 750 to free up some space.
The Buggy Barn was originally built just for the Sprite.

Closing in the carport is on the honey-do list. Just not near the top right now.

David either you don't run with straight pipes like 99% of the riders around here or you wear ear plug's like most of our riders or you are ruining your hearing! There is a reason that Harley mufflers are a favorite muffler for a spridget! You can get perfect one's from the dumpster behind the Harley shop!:

When I was a teen our local town tried to put a curfew on our little Jap bikes with stock exhaust. Now I can hear bikes coming from miles away....course the semi's are almost as bad.

"My Harley exhaust" is at the end of the straight pipe on my 74 Midget. I don't own a bike. No damage to my ears, but my neighbors tell me they can hear me several blocks away.
