Original Lucas starter in my '69 GT. It's a mess on the outside and I'd like to do some thorough cleaning but uncertain about how much to take apart. Didn't find anything in the library on starters so wondering if any of you have a reference for how to take it apart and clean it up.

I was researching this last week as mine could use a good clean and paint/polish, too. I discovered that John Twist has a YouTube video on dissassembly and repair.
