Anyone have experience with these in an A roadster?
Any known bolt pattern matches?
Trying to gain a little room for day trips, etc.
Thanks!

I have a Saab space saver. I think it is from around 1989-90

So, you are off on a trip and have packed enough stuff so that you are USING the space that the space saver spare has saved.

When you get a flat, where do you put the full sized flat tire? confused smiley

The first time we plan to take the 58 on a wine tour with the Tidewater MG Club. My wife wanted to pack a carry on case and put it into the boot. After auguring with her about strapping it to the luggage rack instead I told OK, pack it. After packing the case I open the boot and told her to put it anywhere she wanted. First augment I ever won in a very long time.

Anybody in the UK found a suitable space saver wheel/tyre ?

Tried every SAAB breakers I could find but none have a pre 1987 Saab 900 wheel available.

Just get a good MGA steel wheel and have it trimmed in width. There used to be a lot of firms doing this years ago, except in reverse i.e.widening. I'm sure it can be done.

Mounting the space saver tire on the stock wheel will save space. I did that on my Morris. If clayj chimes in he found a tire and wheel at Pull A Part from a Nissan that bolts right on and clears everything on his MGB.

You can buy a 135 or a 145 tire and put it on you rim... Will save space but would be a short real short term fix.

Like I said, just day trips. Maybe short overnights as well...but very seldom.
Plus, we have lots of miles, 2-up on a motorcycle...we know how to pack light & tight!
We could shift stuff around and put the flat in the boot, or on the boot rack. I have an "octopus" bungie.
Or ship it home on a Greyhound Bus!
