Has anyone had any success in repairing tears/separations in the rubber sill covers? I would rather repair them than replace them. Also, my 1966 B was in storage for quite a while, and I noticed that the top no longer stretches to the grommets on each side. Do the tops actually shrink over time or did I just miss that when I put the car into storage?
Thanks. I really enjoy learning from the expertise contributed to this site.

I use a hair dryer at maximum setting for a shrunk top or tonneau. You can get it real close without doing any damage. Just keep moving it around and stretch while it's hot. It can also eliminate most wrinkles in the window. I've also used the hair dryer for installing rubber seat diaphragms. My stowaway was not installed all summer and I had to resort to the hair dryer again this fall to get it stretched.
I wouldn't use a heat gun however as I feel they are just too hot. Plus the heat is more concentrated.
