I pulled the dizzy today, as I realized that the DPO had taken it apart and not put it back together 100% correct. I fixed the rubber grommet and then popped open the workshop manual to determine what it might take to overhaul it.
Before I get any further, this is a 75 FED 1500 with the original Lucas 45DE4 distributor.
Apparently, I'm also missing one of the screws that hold the vacuum advance unit on, as well as the felt pad and anti-flash shield. I'm wondering why bother digging in to overhaul if I'm missing parts.
I'd like to stay original, if possible, but I guess I'm open to other options. Should I be looking to buy a new dizzy? Or is there a rebuild kit and parts I can buy (didn't see any on VB, I'll check elsewhere).

You need to talk to Jeff at Advanced Distributors. He is the go to guy. I think you can find him in the vendors or just google him. His handle is B-racer on MGexp.
