Is it easy to replace the snaps on the top? The top that came with my car seems to be in pretty good shape, but one of the snaps (behind drivers side door) is broken. I saw a tool on Moss that I THINK is used to replace snaps, but it didn't have much of a description so I am not sure.

go to a fabric store. A "Dzus" snap application pliers and a set of snaps is about $20.
Most of the other snap application tools I've seen are a die and punch, not usable with top on the car.
Pretty much the standard size snap.
The insert part will make its own hole in the fabric.

Sounds like you're talking about the lift-a-dot fasteners rather than the snaps. They can be removed and replaced easily without the fancy tool. The fancy tool actually just cuts the material so that you can fit them in there and it's pretty expensive. I did the cutting with an exact knife and the little tabs can be unbent with a small flathead for removing and smashed back down with anything. Sorry I don't know where to buy them. I would ask Basil.

Hi
I have a similar problem. Did you manage to sort your issue out ?
A couple of my lift the dot snaps on the roof need replacing but they are not exposed both sides like tonneau covers are. I presume the stitching would have to be unpicked and sown up again once the snap is replaced ?
Unless of course there is some easier way ?
