Hi, I have a 79B and noticed the Right rear brake light is not coming on. Also with the lights on it stay off. I have checked the Advance wiring diagram and all the connections. Cleaned them and the grounds. I even put in a bulb from the other side which I knew to be good. What am I missing? Blinker does work. .

You missed a bad connection.

From the comment "Also with the lights on it stay off", I assume that the side light portion does not work either.

If this is the case and the turn indicator lamp works, I'd look at how the tin bulb receptacle is held into the die cast backing plate. My guess is there is corrosion between the two not allowing the receptacle to ground to the case.

Wiggling the receptacle, or taking a screwdriver and tapping it between it and the plate should bring the two back into contact. Worst case, a separate ground lead can be soldered to the receptacle to ensure connection.

You should be able to easily verify if this is the problem by checking continuity between the two with a volt/ohmmeter.

Kelvin.
