I'm looking to take my 73 MGB conversion on the track in the future. Can anyone suggest a specific roll bar that meets most racing organization requirements? Assuming of course there is an accepted standard. :-) Thanks.

Kaz

Kaz,

Rules vary with different sanctioning bodies, so the only sure way is to consult the rules of the group you plan to race with. However, FWIW, when I built my race car I did so with the roll structure to full SCCA standards and, in fact, I have both an SCCA and a vintage log book for my car. SCCA rules require a full roll cage with either high or low front hoop. I chose a low front hoop to maintain more of a vintage look. The low front hoop is tucked under my windscreen where is it less obvious but still SCCA and vintage-compliant...

Nothing to add to the two replies other than they both are great advice.

Unless you are an engineer, and expert welder, pay a fabricator to build and install it. Research closely who you choose.
