I took my radio box out and really love the extra leg room. I have arthritis in my hip and can't pull my knee straight back. My knee must turn towards the right. Without the radio box it makes it much more comfortable.

I just bought my '70 Midget a week or two ago and it needs A LOT of work. I have to do the entire interior. So, what have you done with that empty space where the radio box was? I don't need a radio, so that's not an issue. I can go without the hazard switch and lighter too.

If you could post some pictures so that I may get an idea.

Thank you so much in advance

Mike

Here's what I came up with as an idea. I plan on an Autumn Leaf interior. Regarding the panels that go along the front/center and the panel behind the radio box, if I make the panel behind the radio box a little taller so it tucks up to the dash, and maybe have the three panels sewn together in a 'U' shape to make the corner edges look cleaner. Then instal them as usual. Either the same AL, or in black for a little contrast and to match the dash, then place the'69 "MG" trunk badge and "MIDGET" badge in the center.

What do you think?
