Although my body man could sort this out for himself has anyone got a detailed pic sequence of metal removed prior to fitting VW flares? I have Danmas on shortcut but the pics don't show cutting - I assume some cutting is done rather than just adding the flares to the body?

No Jim and that looks just what I was after. Clearly I didn't ask Mr Google correctly coz he didn't have that link in his first 3 pages on my search. Thanks I shall devour tomorrow.

This is my recent experience. I used rear Rabbit flares only. I had never done anything like it but I approached it as an engineer and verified fit, form and function first- then cleco'd the flares in place with a small tab I later ground off and welded shut and then welded them. I was very pleased with the results. I've reached my max pics but I'll add a couple more in another post.

Thanks Bob. Obviously my Golf (your Rabbit) flares need a little trimming. But if you or anyone else has a pic of the cutting of the rear inner wheel well that would add to my knowledge.
