Can anyone send me a description/photo of the oil cooler location on the late model Bs with the cardboard mudshield in front of the radiator please? I'm installing A/C into my 74 BGT and want to relocate the oil cooler to below the steel panel in front of the radiator and behind the front valance to give more room for the condenser.
How are the oil lines routed as well?
Thanks
Andy

2 long hoses 47.5 through holes in lower plate where the oem early cooler sits, mounted below plate behind front valance. Later coolers have more room, smaller size.
You can install 2 pullers on the engine side of the radiator, leaving room for a fan on the front of the a/c condenser coils triggered to go on with the use of the a/c.

If you were to come to me, the first thing that I would do would be to order up the cooler and the hoses.
Once they are in hand you could see how well the hoses would fit if the cooler was to be mounted under the panel in front of the radiator. If they are long enough a simple mounting system could be affected. If they are too short it is a simple matter to remove the rubber lines and replace them with longer hoses.
Any parts house that offers repairs to truck installations should be able to supply the hose material and attach your existing fittings with little effort.

The long 47.5 inch hoses fit the retro fit to a later cooler. Below.
Have done many to be able to move radiator forward to install bigger engines.

Don't forget the lower air duct panel (Moss 475-255)

Many thanks for the information guys and Ernie thanks for the photo that made it all clear. I'll buy new lines and relocate my existing oil cooler below the apron panel. BTW How is the oil cooler attached? I would have assumed that it was attached with bolts through the apron to the top of the cooler but there are no bolt heads showing so it must be from underneath?
Thanks again
Andy

There should be some captive nuts on the RH side of the apron.

You are retro fabbing your own install. Drill, bolt, and nice stainless acorn nuts on the top side.
