This was on the inside of a MGB boot lid. What was it used for? Does anyone have a photo of a complete sticker?

Quality control for overall paint condition perhaps? Interesting that it pertains to BLM Canada.

Looks like a signature on there. Never seen one so can't help with a complete one.

Simon, I was thinking paint rectification but without the rest of the detail, it's just a WAG.

Based on the sticker condition, I'm assuming this is an original boot lid, Mike? If not, that's some really nice replication work. smiling smiley

You even got the overspray correct!

I've seen those on some Canadian delivery early mid-70s cars. The paint code and paint name was listed as I remember.

Whether they were factory applied (unlikely for just the Canadian specific market) or perhaps at an inspection for damage/quality control? at the POE I don't know.

I initially thought the boot lid was off another car...the word "White" made me think that was the original colour. However, after carefully peeling it off a few days ago I found Blaze under the sticker too. So I think you are right in thinking "N. White" is an inspector or painter.

The car will be painted in a few weeks. "N. White" has been in the boot for 41 years...I think he should return to his rightful place after the respray!
