I'm tired of Facebook. Partly because of the drama (about 50% of my 75 contacts are hidden from my news feed because I have no interest in the stuff they spout) but mainly because my wife has been stuck in the US while we filed for her residency visa, and adding that time apart to the times we've had to be apart since we met has meant our message count has topped 130,000. So yeah, I'm done.
I'm hoping I don't miss it, and have rarely checked my news feed the last month except when I'm really bored and when I have its mainly been checking out Warrens MGB V8 conversions page or the MGB appreciation society. I confess I will miss that, as there is no Twitter equivalent (which I am now using to follow a couple of TV shows I like) but wifey will retain her account and therefore I might get her to join the groups to feed my need.
So, as she arrives next Friday after not seeing her since February thats the time I've planned to deactivate my account. Therefore I'm going to want/need your help if the cravings set in! Please humour me if I begin posting random discussions or hey if you want to talk motorsport, Pre-war liners (Titanic etc), Cruises or about MGB's of course, fire away!

What is this Facebook?
“Ideological certainty easily degenerates into an insistence upon ignorance". Daniel Patrick Moynihan
In any debate, the side which strays from civil discussion is usually the side that lacks confidence in its debate position or in the merit of their arguments. Making personal attacks on the opponents instead of staying on the subject is also a sign of weakness.
Anyone who feels compelled to respond in kind to any perceived slight is often suffering from narcissism.

Oh yeah, I remember having one of those when I was in school. Thanks.

Yeah, I pretty much skip the News part of it. Some of the people I know post what they had for lunch!
Really? Like I care? I think not.
But I stay in it because I have found many, many old friends and workmates over the years. Just found an old boss I worked for a few days ago.
Take what you want, leave the rest.

This car is now very nearly completely done. Sure to find something else, but not now.........And 12 years later, I'm starting to fix things that were new when we built the car. It's pretty well de-bugged!

You make a good point Wayne, and probably when I move to the US I'll reactivate it but for now I just want to be free of the grid.
Going well so far, helped by the fact I have been so busy at work I haven't had time to sneeze, or worse still, post here!
